The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) held a hybrid announcement event for the Accelerate-to-Demonstrate (A2D) Facility’s Call-for-Proposals on 18 July 2024. The A2D Facility aims to accelerate the commercialization of innovative clean energy solutions in developing countries. Initially funded with ~USD 80 million (GBP 65 million) from the UK Government’s Department of Energy Security & Net Zero, the A2D Facility focuses on supporting the implementation and operation of demonstration projects in developing countries in key areas for clean energy transitions: critical minerals, clean hydrogen, smart energy, and industrial decarbonization.
